About the Event
for anyone with some previous experience of meditation, suitable as CPD for mindfulness teachers.
Feeling somewhat distracted, frazzled, anxious, overwhelmed, tired, uninspired, disconnected, short-tempered, indulging in addictions and lacking a sense of direction and meaning? It wouldn’t be surprising, given the many distractions, hardship and uncertainties modern day living often brings with it.
There is one place where we can reclaim our sense of agency, a place where we have the power to tangibly affect change for the better: our own mind. Now is the time for some deep nourishment and re-orientation with the help of mindfulness, befriending and reflection practices. It will restore your inner equilibrium; help find inner peace and direction and get your heart singing again, in the midst of it all.
Meditating with others creates a supportive atmosphere helping us to let go of excess effort, relax and breathe easy. Sometimes meditating can feel like just one more thing to do – let’s approach it as leisure activity instead!
The days will be mostly silent, with expertly and sensitively led periods of sitting meditations, interspersed with simple movement sequences, bodyscan and walking meditations.
The venue is a beautiful, peaceful studio in the Westend of Glasgow, near the Botanic Gardens. 10 places only, please book by 15 August. After that it may be possible to book for one day only, please get in touch.
